Teachers Tin from the Bright Side Range
If we leave to one side the extensive summer holiday they’re granted, we should acknowledge that teachers, for most of the year, have quite a difficult life. Not only do they have to tolerate some of the country’s more…challenging…children, they also have to spent an inordinate amount of time outside of work preparing new lessons, and marking work from the old ones.
We at Gifts From Handpicked think that their efforts should be recognised and celebrated. For this reason, we especially like this tin from The Bright Side. The Bright side is the brainchild of Bristolian designer Rachel Bright, whose project began life in a small print room in her hometown. Her trademark approach to design, which features haphazardly-sized letters forming a raft of wry words, has won the heart of the nation. Nowadays, you can’ go far without seeing her work in evidence.
And teachers haven’t escaped her attention, as this tin demonstrates. It’s ideal for teachers in need of some storage space. It’s made from metal, and features a hinged lid with the distinctive Bright Side lettering across the top and sides. The letters say “Teachers Tin”, with a footnote: “gold stars, chalk, energy drink and a biro that doesn’t work”).
Of course, no self-respecting teacher would go about their business without a steady supply of such items – and with the help of the Bright Side, they now have a space to store them all. So, if you know a teacher to whom you owe a gift – there are few better candidates.
