Meet Charlotte Our First Apprentice!!
Charlotte started working for me at the end of doing her A-levels in 2016, whilst beginning her gap year. Uploading stock to my websites and keeping Dave on his toes were her main duties! With a summer to America planned, participating in Camp America, Charlotte wasn’t with us for long. When she returned she was back just in time for my peak...CHRISTMAS! Charlotte worked every hour possible as luckily for me has a love of money so no shift was turned down! For a young girl Charlotte is switched on and can speak for England which is good thing when you have 4 Royal Mail vans of parcels to wrap!!
Last month Charlotte joined us in a permanent role as our Digital Marketing apprentice. It is nice having a younger member on the team who can keep me up to date with Social Media and the latest trends! Hopefully this is the start of a great career for Charlotte.
Charlotte is the voice on the telephone and behind the emails, she also designs our social media posts. Charlotte manages all returns, speaks several languages (through google translate!) and can list products too! There are no end to this girl’s talents!!
Charlotte works Monday to Friday and will soon be starting her apprentice journey with a day release at North Lincolnshire College in their brand new Digital Marketing Suite. Before the hard work begins we are currently teaching Charlotte the workplace essentials of how to make a decent cup of tea and banter in the workplace, the first one is a struggle but the second one she has mastered!!!
Only a month into her new position Charlotte has settled well and has already received good feedback on Feefo! Charlotte has also survived our second peak period Mothers Day and Easter managing to multi-task her emails with packing the parcels.
It was a difficult choice after ten years deciding to go down the apprentice route but I would recommend it to any small business. Choosing the right candidate will mean that you will also benefit from what they learn. I am looking forward to what Charlotte can bring to the Business with her training. Everything I have learnt in the last ten years has been self taught with many an hour spent on google so this is an exciting time for me too!
