About East of India

East of India was founded in February 1991 by two creative people who took inspiration from a craftsman whilst travelling through Asia. The products that the craftsman had created received a lot of feedback and positive outlooks, which is why the creators of East of India decided to make their own creations with the inspiration of the items that the craftsman had made. 

As business took off, East of India started to endeavour into the world of creating and sampling their own items. From looking at woods and ceramics and beginning to piece everything together by hand. Today every product by East of India is created wonderfully at their studio is Folkestone.

A fantastic trait of East of India is that they take their environmental issues very seriously. They are involved in a tree planting project in Indonesia, they own their own Oak wood in Kent which is 22 acres and their own offices and warehouse in the UK is powered by solar power. 

As well as this, East of India use recycled card and paper and they reuse all of their suppliers boxes to package up customer orders. Not to mention that they use corn starch compostable bags for their greeting card packaging!

We absolutely love East of India, from their ethics, to their products and their helpful customer services. Which is why we are so excited that they have new products for us to share!
