Our Spring Fair Experience 2022 | Gifts from Handpicked Blog
On the 6th of February 2022, some of our team here at Gifts from Handpicked took a wander out to the brilliant Birmingham NEC to experience the Spring Fair 2022. The Spring Fair is the UK's number 1 home and gift show for the retail industry and hosts a huge range of amazing suppliers, we absolutely love going and seeing all the new products that brands have brought out. It is the perfect way to bring lots of communities together in the same industry where they can all flourish.
From Christmas decorations, Easter decorations, Halloween decorations, gorgeous homeware, wedding gifts, children's bedroom accessories and a whole range of fantastic items. Looking around the show rooms was rather overwhelming and we were simply spoilt for choice!
I know it is only February and none of us want to be thinking of Christmas at this moment in time, but we were mesmerized by the wide selection of colour themed Christmas decorations, they were stunning and offered a variety of tones and ideas for Christmas trees. Above are two choices of coloured themed Christmas trees which we fell in love with, a darker and floral coloured blue with accents of birds and sparkle, and a pink and white frosted Christmas tree which made us feel like we were in a winter wonderland.
At the Spring Fair we also recognised a lot of trends and themes, on this stand you can see that Christmas Gonks were a main attraction, and we were not complaining! At Gifts from Handpicked we absolutely love Gonks, especially Christmas themed ones. It was brilliant to see all the different ways a Santa decoration can be made, through ceramics, wood, glass and much more. It certainly made us all feel in the Christmas spirit, even if we are only in February!
We couldn't forget these adorable dancing penguins which we think would make the perfect festive accessory in the home, this whole collection was from Giftware Trading and it was one of our favourite stands to be inspired by. They didn't only just have a huge range of Christmas items, but their Easter collection was beautiful. Stay tuned to see what we pick out from these collections, we were definitely not disappointed and we know you won't be too! It makes our hearts warm to know that we can hand pick items from trade fairs like this one and bring them to our amazing customers so you can also feel the incredible winter wonderland and sprucing spring vibes.
Anybody at Gifts from Handpicked knows that Warmies have a special place in my heart, I just cannot resist the cute characters that they come out with, so it was not surprise that when I saw them at the Spring Fair I simply burst with excitement! I loved their new collection of lavender scented plush toys, as well as their selection of long hot water bottles and other great products that smelt divine. My personal favourite characters that they sold were the rainbow Dragon, the little Avocado and of course the pretty platypus which you can see peeping in the photograph above. All of them were so soft and I just wanted to take them all home! Warmies are the perfect gift for children ( or even adults in my case. ) We are so happy to be stocking them on our website and cannot wait to see what the future holds with these loveable creatures.
We saw so many suppliers at the Spring Fair, some of whom we stock ourselves. It was great to put faces to names and meet all the wonderful people who help run each business. We bumped into Elite, Sass & Belle, Quay Traders, Giftware Trading, Widdop, Shoeless Joe and many more suppliers who offered a range of products. Each stall reflected the supplier and the sorts of products they sell, to include Quay Traders and their beach themed home accessories, with nautical and rustic wooden features, and Sass & Belle with their neon signing, vibrant colours and contemporary homeware. The creativity was amazing!
To finish our glorious trip out to the Spring Fair, the CEO Natalie found this amazing upside down Christmas tree at the Sass & Belle stall, what a way to go out with a bang!
Overall, our visit to the Spring Fair at the NEC 2022 was one to remember, an experience that we think everyone should have the pleasure to do. It never gets boring to see new products coming in and trends changing.
Here at Gifts from Handpicked we love stepping out of our comfort zone and making the business better and better everyday and we couldn't do it without our amazing customers and with the help of visiting wonderful places such as the Spring Fair. We are extremely grateful to have been able to go and the day involved lots of laughs and we came out feel very inspired, a successful trip to say the least.
